Mika Lammi joins European Comission's Expert Workgroup
Mika Lammi, head of IoT business development at Kouvola Innovation Oy, is invited to the European Commission’s expert working group examining the disruptive effects of blockchain technology on industries.
This workgroup has 25 participants, two of them are from Finland. They all are divided in five groups, Supply Chains, Authentication and Certification, Intellectual Property, Energy and Advanced Manufacturing.
Mika Lammi will participate in the project’s workgroup focusing on the supply chains. This was clear, as he is the manager of international SmartLog -project, which is about introducing a blockchain technology application into the logistics business operational data transfer traffic – not just as an commercial, proprietary application suite, but rather as an industry-wide open solution.
“This is great opportunity to network with some of the leading experts in Europe in this field. The workgroup also provides a good forum to introduce the results of development at SmartLog –project”, Lammi says.
The EU Policy Lab of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission’s in-house science service, is currently running the project #Blockchain4EU: Blockchain for Industrial Transformations, in cooperation with DG GROW, the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship & SMEs.
