Final results – webinar Wednesday 13.1.2021 9:00 – 10:40 CET
NERO – project is demonstrating technical solutions, which will reduce the overall costs of new nZEB buildings compared to the current situation.
The European energy policy pushes the member states to transform building stock into nZEBs. By the end of 2020 all new buildings should comply with the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD, 2010) obligations and national regulations.
NERO partners have been concentrated during the last 3 years on the development of market ready wooden solutions and the construction industry’s design and procurement processes. We knew we had to likely revolve around the processes rather than technologies.
We also have to look beyond the nZEB performance in a longer term perspective, life cycle costs as well as carbon footprint of the demo buildings in order to be able to find cost reductions now and in the near future. Nonetheless, we cannot forget what the improvements in energy efficiency of the new buildings will bring about the thermal environment and indoor air quality.
You are warmly welcome to hear more about our NERO project!
